unbound
relearning rhythm
white-flagging on an easy exhale
to the viscera-pervading pulse
shutting down grinding gears; cognisance
pushing the canal lock
naked feet stamping the floor: timbre
timbales, tambourine
unwinding, unbinding
unbound

Luke, painting aside, which is cool on its own, you can feel the movement here. Great word choices to illustrate that rhythm and movement. My favorite line here is shutting down grinding gears. Such a cool way to think about dancing, almost as if the dancers are operating mechanically- wonderful concept. Thanks. Hope you had a nice New Years
@Fred Hey thanks Fred. Hope your New Year is getting off to a good start buddy. Glad you stopped by, cheers
Centre justified.. reads differently this way.. like it. Such peace at the ending… I’ll just float here for a bit..

white-flagging on an easy exhale
to the viscera-pervading pulse

Lovely, Luke and the symmetry makes me smile. This formatting really helps to highlight your message too, I think…very nice. exhaling….great poetry.
this makes me feel joyful.
sometimes it’s a long journey back…happy to see the narrator in this piece has made his way back to the dance floor.
Excellent words Luke – you can certainly feel the rythm and I’m dancing in my mind here. The painting compliments your words superbly.

The freedom is contagious. Love the light, joyous feeling of your verse.
I really enjoyed this, Luke. There is freedom in dancing.
Wow, I love this piece, Luke. Especially “viscera-pervading pulse” and “unbound / relearning rhythm.” Love the centered formatting. By the way, thank you so very much for the suggestion you made on “Palatial Enchantment”
