unbound

relearning rhythm

white-flagging on an easy exhale
to the viscera-pervading pulse

shutting down grinding gears; cognisance
pushing the canal lock

naked feet stamping the floor: timbre
timbales, tambourine

unwinding, unbinding

unbound

Luke, painting aside, which is cool on its own, you can feel the movement here. Great word choices to illustrate that rhythm and movement. My favorite line here is shutting down grinding gears. Such a cool way to think about dancing, almost as if the dancers are operating mechanically- wonderful concept. Thanks. Hope you had a nice New Years

    this makes me feel joyful.

sometimes it’s a long journey back…happy to see the narrator in this piece has made his way back to the dance floor.

Wow, I love this piece, Luke. Especially “viscera-pervading pulse” and “unbound / relearning rhythm.” Love the centered formatting. By the way, thank you so very much for the suggestion you made on “Palatial Enchantment”

I agree, I love this one! It makes me want to go out and dance around a bonfire! :D Some really good images and word choices in this one, great rhythm and I love that you start and end on that word – perfect word for letting go and just letting the body, mind and spirit do their thing.
